Go Green Okaloosa . com The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Green Awareness Taskforce will serve as the focal point for providing Green Advocacy and Awareness to the Fort Walton Beach Community, to help Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa County become designated as Green Communities, and serve as a central repository for information regarding government, private initiatives and programs regarding the conservation and preservation of natural resources.

Green Awareness Task Force - October 4, 2011

Be sure to attend our next Green Awareness Taskforce Meeting
Date: Tuesday October 4, 2011
Time: 8:15am (Networking begins at 8am)
Location: The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Conference Room

Dave Robau will be given a special presentation:
Department of Energy's 2011 Solar Decathlon. It’s a competition between 20 universities to design a zero energy home. Dave Robau was one of the judges.

He will also give us an update on the Plasma Tour, Green Awareness Workshop, E Summit...

Jim Reece will update us on America/Florida Recycles Day

Bob Matthews/Waste Management/Greg Latsha if he is able will update us on recycling efforts at the "2011 Destin Seafood Festival"

Other taskforce members will report or update on future events.
