Nick Chubb has asked Brandon Fausti to speak at April’s meeting. It should be a very interesting program. Brandon’s Bio is below: I'm a 1991 graduate of the US Naval Academy, former navy helicopter flight instructor, Florida high school math and science teacher, and home improvement specialist. I reside in Marietta, GA, but some of my earliest memories are of FWB. My father was stationed at Hurlburt Field while I was very young. My family still celebrates an annual reunion in Destin on the Fourth. I recently founded Cutmypowerbills.com. My company has more recently been acquired by a larger company with deeper pockets called Energy Conservation Associates. My two primary products are the KVAR energy savings device and Prodex, high-bred radiant barrier. I consider them to be the best two products available on the market because of their BEP or "break even point". This is when the energy savings device pays for itself. The topic of my discussion will focus on BEP and the fuzzy numbers in the energy savings industry, why those numbers exist, how the public has reacted to those numbers and how the public should handle those numbers in the future. The title is Dollars, Sense, and Skepticism. I plan on briefly touching on the some of the best new products on the market as well as why some great products simply don't work. In the end, energy savings breaks down to math equations, and the numbers. Updates: - Establish a Steering committee for Recycling on the Water for 2010 Billy Bowlegs in June.
- View Decal design for businesses and homeowners to display who follow Green Practices
- In the process of submitting a Sam’s Grant application
- Submitted Sustainable Florida Award – Non Profit
- Submitted Horizons Volunteer Award – Non Profit
- April 16th – Earth/Arbor Day at FWB Landing 10a-2p (we have volunteers for this event)
- April 17th – Rain Barrels/Earth Composting Machine sale at Uptown Station
- April is National Recycling Month
